The lovely Amanda from L-Plates (and originally from Chantelle from fatmumslim) tapped me on the shoulder in a new photo tag thingy...over to her to explain:
It's really simple. I love how every photo tells a story. Some short stories, some long tales. I want to know what is your favourite photo of yourself. Everyone has one. The photo they look at and smile. It reminds them of something, some time, some place. A moment in time. So share the photo, share the story and then tag three other people. I want to see photos and stories all around the blogosphere.
I realize this is kind of a cop-out. A wedding photo. At least I'm doing it! but honestly, this IS my all-time favorite picture of me ever. really. It speaks volumes of the day. My wedding day. The best. day. ever. I really didn't foresee my wedding day as becoming "The Best Day of My Life." But it totally was. I loved it. It was fun. I felt like a princess. I was marrying the man I loved. I had all my favorite people with me in the same place at the same time. We had a rockin DJ and we cut straight to the party.
This photo was after BigDaddy and I hung out by ourselves inside the clubhouse after the ceremony for about 20 minutes. This is a Jewish wedding tradition known as Yichud and it gave us a chance to really soak it all in together. Alone. Away from the craziness. We had small plates of food prepped for us and watched random people walking along the boardwalk peeking in and waving, saying congrats. It was a special moment we shared before being introduced to the crowd. Then it was time to take another deep breath. Hold hands and enjoy the day!
Mr. & Mrs. BigDaddy!
Now I tag:
woo woo mama
A Toast to Me
that is a gorgeous photo!! I love it!!
I can see why it's your favorite picture.. you both look genuinely happy to be present, together, at that moment in time!
Ok, now here's a newbie question -- how do I tag a blog? (hehe, sorry, still trying to figure out all of the ins and outs of the blog world.. teach me grasshopper!)
Claudia- pick three blogs you follow and "tag" them. email/tweet them like I did to you. I just did a copy and paste from the blog that tagged me. I kept the original tagger info and added to it. hope that helps! I'm still learning too ;)
Oh duh! Ok, and here I'm making it more complicated than what it needs to be! Thanks Lisa!
